We are a small guinea pig rescue in the Asheville area of western North Carolina. We spay and neuter guinea pigs before adopting them out and typically place them in bonded, male/female pairs for two reasons.

  • First, guinea pigs are highly social and do better when they have a companion.
  • Second, a male/female pair is often the best combination when guinea pigs meet as adults.

Occasionally we will have two sisters or two brothers who have been together since birth, but most often we will place a neutered male and spayed female together.
